Memory Verse Challenge Week 4

Here’s the verses I’m working on this week:

1 Peter 1:13-16  Therefore prepare you minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.  As obedient children do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance, but be like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in your behavior; because it is written, “You shall be holy for I am holy.”

Are you working on some verses? Or are you overwhelmed with holiday duties and joys? i often have a hard time reciting verses on the weekends.  During the week, I spend nap time reviewing verses, but on Saturdays, my schedule is never predictable and I tend to push my memory time aside.

  1. Here’s my verse for the week: It’s Mark 12:28b-31 from The Message
‘Which is the most important of all the commandments?” Jesus said, “The first in importance is, ‘Listen, Israel [Jill]: The Lord your God is one; so love the Lord God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence and energy. And here is the second: ‘Love others as well as you love yourself.’ There is no other commandment that ranks with these.”
